"I decided to draw myself in grayscale with certain areas coloured to make it stand out. I like to use pencils and ballpoint pens as I think the pen and pencil marks makes the drawing interesting to look at and also creating texture. I decided to draw with pencil and use less colours because it’s more of a way to show myself as masking my personalities or masking my true self from

strangers and in an unfamiliar area, also shows a sense of caution and awkwardness. I also don’t express myself as much so I rarely give physical affection and would rather express myself through actions for example buying food for close friends. For the objects, the headphones helps me to minimise the loudness in public areas or crowded areas and is something I can listen to. The sleeve of the hoodie brings a sense of comfort like a blanket."

Drawn on A3 paper (29cm x 42cm) with mixed media using pencil, watercolour paint, black ballpoint pen, red ballpoint pen and coloured pencil.
