Image: 'Miss Flagg of Westoe Village', 1955 watercolour by Albert Ernest Black

This portrait was painted by fellow Westoe Village resident Ernest Black, who lived at the Red House. Ernest knew Amy Flagg well and also produced a number of paintings of Amy’s house and gardens. Miss Flagg was an amateur artist herself, and is shown here carrying a canvas, portable easel, and basket of flowers.
