Please donate today to help us look after the animals in our care.

Do you love lizards, snakes or spiders? 

All the animals at South Shields Museum & Art Gallery need a lot of care from our dedicated team, including clean homes, fresh bedding, lots of food, and in some cases even regular walks. By adopting an animal for a year, you will support the museum to continue to provide specialist care for our wonderful spiders, lizards and snakes.

In return, we will send you a certificate with your name on (or the name of the recipient if it is a gift), featuring a photograph of the animal and stating that you / they have adopted it for one year.

Adopt one of our animals for £5 per month or £60 per year

As a Supporter, you (or the beneficiary of your gift, if they are over 18 years old) will receive the following benefits:

• invitations to VIP exhibition preview events (for you and a guest of your choice)
• priority booking for exhibitions and events
• regular must-see museums emails about what’s on at our venues 
• quarterly updates about the impact of your support.
