South Shields Voluntary Life Brigade Learning Resource
A major new digital education resource telling the ”Always Ready” story of lifesaving to commemorate the 150th anniversary of South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade is now available to schools.
The online resource has been created to encourage primary school children to discover the history and heritage of the Brigade and to learn about what the Brigade does today. It has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum and involves a number of slide show presentation, videos, and activity sheets and support material for teachers.
The digital education resource is a great way to bring the Always Ready story to schoolchildren in a fun and interactive way which is directly linked to their learning. As well as being a great classroom resource the experience can be enhanced with an assembly presentation or even better with a guided visit to the Museum or Watch House.
